1. Engineering Economics

Description: The purpose of the course is to prepare students to be able to master the engineering economic evaluation criteria and methods, and apply basic engineering economic principles and methods to assess the feasibility of a project from the perspective of economics.

Grading: Final closed-book exam (80%), Participation and school assignment (20%)

   

2. Introduction to Project Management

Description: The purpose of the course is to provide a general view and introduction to the project management in terms of its principal tools and techniques used in different industry sectors with special consideration for Engineering and Contracting applications.

Grading: Final closed-book exam (80%), Participation and school assignment (20%)

        

3. Project Feasibility Study and Post Evaluation

Description: The purpose of the course is to prepare students to be able to understand the principles and main contents of feasibility study, and master the skills of project feasibility study, as well as the skills of demonstrating feasibility study reports.

Grading: Final closed-book exam (80%), Participation and school assignment (20%)

 

4. Project Planning and Control

Description: The purpose of the course is to prepare students to be able to understand concepts, methods, and techniques of planning, balance and optimization of project schedule, cost and quality control, enabling students to possess the abilities to analyze and solve project management problems.

Grading: Final closed-book exam (80%), Participation and school assignment (20%)

    

        5. Project Risk Analysis and Management

Description: This course mainly focuses on the problems of risk management in project. Topics include (but are not limited to) risk planning, identification, evaluation, response and monitoring, etc.

Grading: Combination of final closed-book exam (80%), Participation and school assignment (20%)

  

6. Project Human Resource and Communication

Description: The purpose of the course is to enable students to get the idea of the project human resource management, and master the characteristics and basic skills of the project human resource management, such as the coordination of the benefits of stakeholders, the performance assessment and improvement.

Grading: Final closed-book exam (80%), participation and school assignment (20%).

 

7. Project Quality Management

Description: Project Quality management is an elective professional course for the students majoring in Project Management. Topics include (but are not limited to) quality planning, quality scheming, quality control, quality improvement.

Grading: Final open-book test (70%), Participation& school assignment (30%).

  

8. Project Cost Management

Description: This course can be used for determining project cost target, implementing cost analysis to the delivery of the project, and defining the performance criteria of stakeholders so as to help planning the project.

Grading: Final open-book exam (70%), Participation and school assignment (30%).

  

9. International Engineering Project Management

Description: This course mainly introduces the management issues in international engineering projects, including the basic concept and development trend of international engineering, the composition of international project management system, the project planning and controlling methods in international engineering project, etc.

Grading: Final open-book exam (70%), Participation and school assignment (30%).
